The big one, writers guild announced their nominees today. One should keep in mind that films like "Birdman", "Selma", "Mr. Turner", "The Theory of Everything" etc were not eligible. This guild has some really weird rules. On the other hand, the nominations were pretty much what you and I had predicted. However, "Guardians of the Galaxy" came off as a surprise in the adapted screenplay category. I mean what else was there to nominate? *PTA raises his his hand*
