My View On The Academy Awards 2012 (Best Picture)

Okay so this is how it is going to work, its going to be lists with a brief description of what i think of the current Best Picture race with some of my personal favorites and the ones i don't want to see.

Best Picture

Frontrunners

1. The Artist
2. The Descendants
3. The Tree of Life
4. Hugo
5. Moneyball
6. The Help
7. Midnight In Paris

Right now The Artist and The Descendants are taking the lead in the wins and nominations at the precursors and no doubt they already were and i am sure members are going to have a tough time deciding everything.

The Tree Of Life is a very overlooked movie but since i have seen a lot of love from critics lately so it does have chance also that it is a complex heavy film that many other ones aren't so it has a superb chance. Hugo is again been loved all over and has a perfect chance thanks to Scorsese.

Moneyball is almost lost lately, disappear but still it is an Oscar nominee for sure without any doubt. With Midnight In Paris, Woody Allen is back big time and i don't see any reason why it shouldn't. The Help, i would be honest doesn't deserve a nod, too overrated.

Unsure About

1. War Horse
2. Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close
3. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
4. Drive

War Horse haven't gotten that epic love that i saw coming from the trailer and it might not be a very great movie but has a chance ending up in the nominations thanks to Spielberg. Extremely Loud is a movie everyone says is a frontrunner but not many people have seen it.

The Girl With Dragon Tattoo, the original Swedish thriller which i loved didn't got Oscar love thanks to the type of the movie it was compared to the whole academy standards. Fincher may have a chance but i am still not sure.

Drive have been loved all over by critics but it may not end up in the nominees list for the obvious reasons but it a spectacular movie that needs love. They do want to fill up their list with some good movies without caring much for the violence level or something as this year already wasn't great for movies.

For Your Consideration

1. Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows 2
2. Shame
3. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
4. 50/50
5. We Need To Talk About Kevin
6. Martha Marcy May Marlene

From The Unsure List:

1. Drive
2. The Girl With Dragon Tattoo

A Big No

1. The Help
2. My Week With Marilyn
