National Board of Review just announced their award winners for this year. "A Most Violent Year" won best picture while Clint Eastwood won best director for "American Sniper". The latter shouldn't be a surprise since they love Eastwood. Last year NBR went with "Her" which was a marvelous choice. For actor, Oscar Issac and Michael Keaton tied for their respective films. Edward Norton won supporting actor for "Birdman" while Jessica Chastain for "A Most Violent Year".
Nice to see some "Inherent Vice" love as well as breakthrough award for Jack O'Connell. Some rather surprising choices overall, specially in the top lists as well as their picks.
