ACE Eddie Awards Nominations 2016

Sicario

The nominations for the ACE Eddie Awards were announced. The first technical biggies when it comes to awards season, an important Branch that can't be overlooked. Their nominations for best editing are divided of course in drama and comedy. So it seems shocking that SPOTLIGHT missed out on a nomination. It is supposed to be one of the stronger contenders, overall and in this category. Is there a reason why it wasn't?

But the films that are nominated, MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, THE MARTIAN, SICARIO, THE REVENANT are the stronger players with Fury Road easily besting the rest. Rounding out the dramatic category is STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS.
