Below is the list of my 50 most anticipated movies releasing in 2012, its just a initial list as i would be posting the 2nd one before the start of Awards season. I'll be writing the reasons too.

1. The Dark Knight Rises
(The Obvious reasons......)
2. Gravity
(Director Alfonso Cuaron who made Children of Men, the plot, Cuaron and Cinematographer Lubezki's visual style and George Clooney also it is said that it has some groundbreaking visual effects very ahead of time like Avatar and i suppose Cuaron will add some one take scenes too which is his style)
3. The Master
(3 words - Paul Thomas Anderson, who is known for his iconic movies like There Will be Blood, Magnolia, Boogie Nights and Punch Drunk Love)
4. Django Unchained
(Quentin Tarantino - Enough)
5. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
(The obvious reasons.....)
6. Anna Karenina
(A big fan of Joe Wright's work of adaptations like Pride & Prejudice and Atonement and that Kiera Knightley is playing the lead)
7. Prometheus
(2 things - Ridley Scott + Sci-Fi Movie)
8. Lincoln
(the only reason is that the best working actor of current times Daniel Day-Lewis is playing the title character, he is known for his intensive preparation for the roles and working in less films, he gave the best performance any actor have ever given since Marlon Brando in Paul Thomas Anderson's There Will Be Blood)
9. To Rome with Love
(Woody Allen's next)
10. Les Miserables
(First big screen adaptation of the famous musical, i love the songs, Directed by The King's Speech fame Tom Hooper and has a superb cast line-up)
11. Skyfall
(Its a James Bond 007 movie, Directed by an outstanding director Sam Mendes, the two actors who might be playing bad guys are known for their super evil characters - Ralph Fiennes and Javier Bardem)
12. Inside Llewyn Davis
(Directed by one of the best directors the duo Joel and Ethan Coen and the story seems interesting)
13. The Great Gatsby
(I have Zero confidence in the director but hopeful for its Literary power, going to be visually stunning and the cast is superb)
14. Life of Pi
(Director Ang Lee's next)
15. The Amazing Spider Man
(The Obvious Reasons.....)
16. Only God Forgives
(Drive duo Nicolas Winding Refn - Ryan Gosling's next)
17. The Bourne Legacy
(The Obvious Reasons plus my favorite underrated actor JEREMY the superb RENNER)
18. The Gangster Squad
(Plot looks interesting and the cast has Gosling, Stone and Penn)
19. Wettest County
(Interesting plot and a superb cast)
20. World War Z
(Genre Bending director, Zombies and Brad Pitt)
21. Moonrise Kingdom
(The unique dark-black comedy style of the director is interesting and has a cast of very great actors)
22. The Place Beyond the Pines
(Ryan Gosling would be on a row this year too and it is directed by someone who directed Gosling in the incredibly underrated Blue Valentine)
23. Cosmopolis
(Cronenberg brings quite insane mind effing movies, the last one wasn't but again this one looks like one after the 30 sec preview)
24. The Silver Linings Playbook
(Director David O. Russell's next after The Fighter)
25. Frankenweenie
(Tim Burton + the creepy stop animation)
