Washington DC Area Film Critics Association Awards 2015


The WAFCA announced their award winners of this year. SPOTLIGHT once again took the best picture prize along with ensemble while MAD MAX: FURY ROAD won editing, production design and director for George Miller. Another split, another Spotlight train boarding. THE REVENANT seems to be popping up more now, it won best cinematography and actor for Leonardo DiCaprio. Idris Elba won his first award of the season in supporting category for his performance in BEASTS OF NO NATION. Alicia Vikander too seems to be getting more attention now, who won here for her understated turn in EX MACHINA. INSIDE OUT won original screenplay while ROOM got adapted.
