21st Annual Critics Choice Awards Nominations

Mad Max: Fury Road

Leading with 13 nominations, MAD MAX: FURY ROAD had emerged as the critics champ here and we'll most pf everywhere else. The nominations for Critics Choice Awards were announced earlier. As you know they have lots of categories, lots of extra categories, I won't bother mentioning every single one of them. You guys can see them all below.

But as I mentioned, Fury Road got 13 nods, CAROL, THE REVENANT and THE MARTIAN tied with 9 nominations each. Carol strangely not up for adapted screenplay. THE HATEFUL EIGHT with 6 is not in best picture. The SAG/Globes surprises are... mainly TRUMBO for ensemble, Cranston, Mirren, Shannon. SPOTLIGHT had some showing with nods for McAdams and Ruffalo who seems to be becoming, as expected, the actor most likely to make it to the Oscars from the film. Interesting showing from SICARIO, BEASTS OF NO NATION etc. Some snubs. And yes, THE BIG SHORT is happening.
