Art Directors Guild announced their nominations for 2014 achievements in art direction. There were some notable snubs, the biggest being "Mr. Turner". Also "The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies", "Maleficent" and "Exodus: Gods and Kings". On the other hand, there were some inspiring nominations. "Inherent Vice" made it in period films category, "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" in fantasy while "Foxcatcher" and "Nightcrawler" in contemporary section. The rest were something mostly everybody predicted. A good bunch nevertheless with some notable misses. Below is the full list of films nominated:
