Kansas City Film Critics Circle Awards 2014


Kansas City Film Critics Circle announced their winners. "Birdman" won big time with four wins in categories, picture, lead actor for Michael Keaton, supporting actor for Edward Norton and for its original screenplay. "Boyhood" won two for director Richard Linklater and supporting actress Patricia Arquette. The brilliant Rosamund Pike won her first award of this season for "Gone Girl" which is a big surprise, however the biggest shock would be "Obvious Child" winning adapted screenplay. Good on them. Below is the full list of winners:

Robert Altman Award for Best Director:
Richard Linklater (Boyhood)

Best Actor:
Michael Keaton (Birdman)

Best Actress:
Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl)

Best Supporting Actor:
Edward Norton (Birdman)

Best Supporting Actress:

Best Original Screenplay:
Armando Bo, Alexander Dinelaris, Nicolás Giacobone and Alejandro González Iñárritu (Birdman)

Best Adapted Screenplay:

Best Animated Feature:
The Lego Movie

Best Documentary Feature:
Citizenfour

Vince Koehler Award for Best Fantasy, Sci-Fi or Horror:
The Babadook
