San Diego Film Critics Society Awards 2012.


Argo won big with the San Diego Film Critics Society Awards 2012 with 4 awards including Best Film, Director, Adapted Screenplay and Film Editing. I am a bit late on this but the awards were announced a few days back. Daniel Day-Lewis won what he's been winning throughout this season and Christoph Waltz won Supporting Actor for Django Unchained. Two surprise winners were Michelle Williams for her amazing performance in Take this Waltz and Emma Watson in her surprisingly effective performance in The Perks of Being a Wallflower in Lead and Supporting Categories.

Best Film: Argo

Best Director: Ben Affleck – Argo

Best Actor: Daniel Day-Lewis – Lincoln

Best Actress: Michelle Williams – Take This Waltz

Best Supporting Actor: Christoph Waltz – Django Unchained

Best Supporting Actress: Emma Watson – The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Best Original Screenplay: The Master – Paul Thomas Anderson

Best Adapted Screenplay: Argo – Chris Terrio

Best Animated Film: ParaNorman

Best Foreign Language Film: The Kid with a Bike (Belgium/France/Italy)

Best Cinematography: Life of Pi – Claudio Miranda

Best Editing: Argo – William Goldenberg

Best Production Design: Cloud Atlas – Hugh Bateup and Uli Hanisch

Best Score: The Master – Jonny Greenwood

Best Documentary: The Invisible War

Best Ensemble Performance: The Perks of Being a Wallflower
