Definitely not to be confused with the online Boston critics who announced their winners earlier. The Boston Society of Film Critics awarded SPOTLIGHT with 3 awards in picture, screenplay and ensemble. CAROL won best director for Todd Haynes and also best cinematography was given to it. Leonardo DiCaprio won his first prize this season for his performance in THE REVENANT which he shared in a bold and deeply beautiful move with Paul Dano for LOVE & MERCY which also won best score. Charlotte Rampling was given best actress for 45 YEARS while Kristen Stewart surprised yet again. THE LOOK OF SILENCE was given foreign language after AMY got best documentary and yes animation prize was shared by both INSIDE OUT and ANOMALISA. Check out the list of winners below:
