The BFCA announced their nominations and as usual, they look more like what Oscars nominations would be then say... 'Critics Choice'. Their awards ceremony seems more like MTV awards and their choices as I said, never truly reflect what critics usually think. Most of their members are bloggers and Internet awards pundits so well! Anyways, "12 Years a Slave" and "American Hustle" leads with 13 nominations each. I don't care about their extra categories for action/comedy etc but looking at their main slate, it is predictable. If I can even call them snubs then the absence of both the actresses from "Blue is the Warmest Color" and Julie Delpy from "Before Midnight" are a big question mark. Their best picture lineup looks exactly like what Academy would choose if they were to nominate ten films. Other than that, nothing quite great or interesting.
