The KCFCC awarded MAD MAX: FURY ROAD with 3 awards. Best picture, director and Charlize Theron for best actress in a surprising move. This film is competing with SPOTLIGHT in the top 2 categories. It has as you all know won a lot of best director awards. Spotlight of course won the original screenplay award while THE BIG SHORT won adapted screenplay. PHOENIX was awarded foreign language film.
