So this is what we all have been waiting for, the DGA nominees and they are in. Affleck, Spielberg, Bigelow and Lee are the four strongest contender that everyone predicted will be nominated, here and at the Oscars as well. But the last spot as always was a mystery. The most likeliest nominee was suppose to be David O'Russell for Silver Linings Playbook which i still think might happen at the Oscars if they are willing to not nominate Hooper this time. The other one was of course Quentin Tarantino for Django Unchained which was never going to happen. Guilds love Hooper, they love directors who achieves something of that sort, he is loved for his work mostly in television. I can see the same 5 nominees at the Oscars as well but there is a chance that Hooper just might not make it (but he will actually, i just can't see such a big movie not making it in this important category despite the mixed reviews). See this is the reason why my predictions change every day.
