Review:
I am a very big fan of both The Muppets and Sesame Street from the very childhood and yes i grew up watching them. When i first heard The Muppets movie is coming, i was very excited though my hopes weren't quite high as i was expecting a direct to DVD movie. The official trailer and all the spoof trailers got me very excited and the reviews it got added much more excitement to it. One of the best movies of the year and currently in my Top 20 list, this is a movie i would love to watch again any time i feel like watching, this is one of those afternoon family movies or a early morning Sunday movie or forget it, an evening movie too. I fell in love with the very first scene of the movie in which they show a character Walter who is a human born in the Muppets form and a brother of Gary played by Jason Segel who has a girlfriend too Mary played by Amy Adams. They are one big Muppets fan and Walter specially considers Kermit the Frog as his idol. The first scene shows Walter's life as not him, well, but his brother grows from child to a man and them as brothers, truly sweet scene. To celebrate their tenth anniversary, Gary decides a vacation to Los Angeles with Mary but invites Walter too as he would be alone otherwise, Mary feels Walter as a threat in the way of their relationship as Gary is very loving and devoted towards him. They visit the abandoned Muppets Studio where Walter finds out about Tex Richman plotting to buy this land for the oil drilling purposes, Walter overhears the $10 million ultimatum that can save the studio.

Movie continues when Kermit comes up with the plan to reunite the Muppets and do a show to raise money in order to save their studios. They then embark on a journey to find each and every characters working in different parts of USA, persuades them to join. Miss Piggy is particular is told to be in Paris where she is the Editor of Vogue magazine, she doesn't come with them. After returning they try to find a network that will produce their show and eventually finds one with CBE who gives them a 2 hours slot only if they bring a celebrity. Then begins the long preparations, Mary-Garry problems, Walter's problems and yes a heck of a fun ride. The Muppet was such a sweet and delightful surprise from 2011 a movie that really went with the overall theme of 2011 which was nostalgia. Very nostalgic for someone like me, i was literally excited and psyched like a child. I cheered up, laughed, screamed and burst into excitement every time i use to see a new character, celebrity appearances or any other significant Muppets scene. It is packed with superb performances, Life's a happy song in the early scene shows them dancing in their own hometown and then the last performance in Los Angeles or the superbly made Man or Muppet to a much emotional Pictures in my Head and tons of other that are performed during the Muppets Telethon. I loved watching each and every character and was literally blown away by how good Kermit and Miss Piggy looks together, Piggy is so incredibly classy and Kermit is the best. Walter came of as this utterly charming and sweet. It is weird but every single Muppet had emotions that truly came out on screen like you could see. Brilliant work done by everyone in handling them, their movements and facial expression looks so real.

Some of the best work in art direction and cinematography i saw with stunning choreography and everything. The Muppets was very delightful, funny, hilarious and at times quite emotional. With them joking on their own self and the legacy to some hardcore pop culture mentions to the good ol Muppets humor the movie truly reached a new height. I loved the celebrity cameos but nothing can beat Jim Parson's. It was truly well written and made with no flaws, i loved it very much.

Grade: A-
