Well here are my predictions of Best Actress Oscar for now. based on what i saw, heard from critics and the whole festival buzz. will update it soon if there are some developments.
Color Scheme:
- Green: Strong Contenders according to me.
- Blue: Good Chance for Nomination.
- Orange: Somewhere in the middle right now.
1. Meryl Streep - The Iron Lady
2. Viola Davis - The Help
(Well The Help is a strong movie as far as performances goes for sure. Meryl Streep's performance is being praised all the way if not so much her movie so yeah they both are strong contenders.)
3. Michelle Williams - My Week With Marilyn
4. Tilda Swinton - We Need To Talk About Kevin
5. Kristen Dust - Melancholia
6. Charlize Theron - Young Adult
(Many actresses considered are from movies that haven't done quite well with the Critics and audience alike but Albert Nobbs is the one i saw last week and was just bad.)
7. Elizabeth Olsen - Martha Marcy May Marlene
8. Glenn Close - Albert Nobbs
9. Olivia Coleman - Tyrannosaur
10. Rooney Mara - The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

This movie proves that Michelle is a very limited actress.
All of her roles up to now were easy for her to get away with.
My Week With Marilyn challenged her lack of acting ability and exposed her for it. This movie is nothing but an embarrassment for Michelle.
Just rent all of Marilyn Monroe's movies and you will understand what I
mean.
i really don't know about this performance but to be honest i really like her and she performs very well. Blue Valentine was her best.
