well here are my Best Director Predictions for now, they are gonna change by next year obviously when i watch more movies and hear more buzz and reviews. but for now, i think the following Directors are either Frontrunners or Alternates.

Alternates:

3. Tomas Alfredson - TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY
4. Terence Malick - THE TREE OF LIFE
5. Stephen Daldry - EXTREMELY LOUD AND INCREDIBLY CLOSE
