Spotlight |
Because of the massive influx of critics awards announcements yesterday, I seem to have somehow missed this group. Well its not too late. So the Detroit Film Critics Society gave their best picture prize to SPOTLIGHT. It also won three more. Best ensemble, screenplay and supporting actor for Liev Schreiber. Yes. Way to add more confusion to the already confusing Spotlight actors situation. They liked what they liked so that's great. No need to guess who won the best director award. Best Actor went to Michael Caine for YOUTH while Alicia Vikander won breakthrough for two of her most buzzed films and for one of them, a Supporting actress prize as well.
