Dallas-Fort Worth Film Critics Association Awards 2015

The Revenant

The Dallas-Fort Worth Film Critics Association announced their winners today as well on top of countless others. What a stacked day! They gave best picture to SPOTLIGHT (duh) and it also win screenplay  (duh x2). Although slight change of scenery since the most awards weren't awarded to that post-apocalyptic masterpiece but... THE REVENANT. It won awards for best director, lead actor, cinematography and score. Paul Dano continues to win awards in both categories. Brie Larson adds another trophy to her count. Rooney Mara as well.

Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (The Revenant)

Best Actor:
Leonardo DiCaprio (The Revenant)

Best Actress:
Brie Larson (Room)

Best Supporting Actor:
Paul Dano (Love and Mercy)

Best Supporting Actress:
Rooney Mara (Carol)

Best Screenplay:
Spotlight (Josh Singer, Thomas McCarthy)

Best Foreign Language Film:
Son of Saul

Best Animated Feature:
Inside Out

Best Documentary:
Amy

Best Cinematography:
Emmanuel Lubezki (The Revenant)

Best Musical Score:
The Revenant (Bryce Dessner, Carsten Nicolai and Ryƻichi Sakamoto)

Russell Smith Award:

(named for the late Dallas Morning News film critic. The honor is given annually to the best low-budget or cutting-edge independent film.)
