Los Angeles Film Critics Association just awarded the best movies in 2012 and as usual, they went with some really interesting, bold and edgy choices. Amour won Picture while Paul Thomas Anderson won Director for The Master. Joaquin Phoenix won Actor while there was a tie between both Emmanuelle Riva and Jennifer Lawrence. Very interesting choices in Supporting category, Amy Adams and much deserving Dwight Henry won for their performances in The Master and Beasts of the Southern Wild. Best Foreign Film however didn't went to Amour but to Holy Motors, interesting, sharing the love (wealth). Overall i think they have so far produced a wonderful list of winners that feels literally their own choices, they aren't inspired by the buzz. Zero Dark Thirty will still however win though i would love to see Amour making the Best Picture Oscar line-up and with them awarding The Master in many categories, i hope critics really award a movie that is one of its kind. They shouldn't think like the academy of any kind i mean they are critics!
